Comic: Substantive Contribution
Hello Everyone,
Before getting started on the Comic Project I came across a few key items i’d like to share. Firstly, if you haven’t read through the Theories of Multimedia Learning blog post I would highly recommend doing so. The article walks a reader through the world of multimedia and helps answer questions i’m sure many of us have. Some topics that are discussed include How we learn, Theories of Multimedia Learning and Principles of Multimedia Learning. Secondly, the video tutorial is a crucial first step as well. During the video, Adrian walks through each section of each website needed during out course and how each is to be used. This helped me get a better footing and realize that using many different websites isn’t as overwhelming as I may have previously thought.
After getting started with the Comic Project, I found some other key tools useful for completing the project smoothly and in a timely manner. Firstly, Canva is a simple design tool that makes building comics much easier. It gives you access to ready-made templates, graphics, and text options, which saves time and helps you focus on the story instead of struggling with design. Secondly, something that I always recommend students take advantage of is Google Drive. Google Drive is something I have been using since I began completing assignments online back in middle school. It’s extremely helpful for keeping everything organized. You can store drafts, images, and notes in one place and access them from any device.
I hope these tools help everyone with the Project!
